Luminous Tide
As daylight fades, evening twilight gives way to a soft night sky. In the solitude of night, the silence is only broken by waves lapping in time against a sandy shore. The rhythm of the waves - pulsating, smooth, and calm - is the heartbeat of the ocean. As you sit beneath the glistening stars upon the ocean edge, you notice a twinkling within the great waters. Curiosity pulls you closer, daring your feet to get wet, the ocean slowly covers your feet in sand. This phenomenon you are witnessing is rare and you are filled with wonder. Green pinpoints of light pervade the water and dance around your ankles. But you are not only an observer of life and beauty, you are life and beauty. The bio luminescent organisms illuminate the waves beckoning you to walk into the ocean and surround yourself in their glow.
Like you, the radiance of these magical specks runs as deep as the ocean and mirrors the depth of the night sky.
As the tide is ever-changing, it begins to ebb, pulling the water away from the shore. It is a subtle process that happens with purpose, for a moment you lose time. Realizing your perception has changed, you are no longer at the beach staring out into and upon the sea. You are filled with warmth and joy as you look back to where you once sat and observed. You understand you are the ocean, the tide of life. You have become a shaper, a maker, and an artist. Your waters of emotion, compassion, and love are now eternally at work, always in motion. You round the edges of sharp rocks, you erode unstable hillsides, and you breakdown rocks into the world's beautifully diverse sands. As you retreat you expose that which is hidden, both the bedrock and the pools of vibrant sea creatures.
To all of the visitors of the shoreline you will be known as
Luminous Tide
